Why a crash counts as a win

From level 29 the pieces fall so fast that almost no one can keep up. The developers never expected anyone to get further. After about 1,550 lines the game can crash because the old console miscalculates. That is what counts as "beating" it.

Before, only an AI managed it

Gibson, known online as "Blue Scuti", was the first to do it, on 21 December 2023. Before that, only AI programs and tool assistance had reached the crash. His father had died a week earlier – he dedicated the achievement to him.
